Is it true that some high school students will have two tests in the same subject area–both summative and EOC tests?
Yes. Students will take a EOC field test in 2011 when they complete (or are near completion of) their coursework. The grade level summative tests will be given to all students in those grades. Students taking English II in grades 9 or 10 will take both the English II EOC Field Test and the grade level reading test. Students taking Algebra I for high school credit in grades 7-10 will take both the Algebra I EOC Field Test and the appropriate grade level mathematics test. Students taking Biology in Grade 10 will take both the Biology EOC Field Test and the Grade 10 Science test.
