Is it true that socially introverted , quiet and reserved people are a better judge of character?
That depends. Being quiet doesn’t make you an astute judge of character anymore than talking makes you a poor one. Some people are quiet and introverted because they have low self-esteem. And since dumb people as well as the intelligent can have low self-esteem, not talking doesn’t mean you have the secrets of the world floating behind your eyes. Many people who put on a facade are actually excellent judges of character, since they know what ‘mask’ to use in order to get what they want from people. ‘Sweet’ and ‘naive’ are two different ways to look at the same personality trait within a person, which means a strong judge of character could use either judgement as a basis for their actions.
