SARAH Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls through a surrogate, the pair have confirmed. People magazine quoted a representative as saying the couple were “happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate”. Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, have a six-year-old son together. It has been reported the couple have tried to have more children but not had any luck. Last year the couple refused to comment on reports Broderick had an affair with another woman.

A friend of the couple told Entertainment Weekly that they have been trying to expand their family since the birth of their 6-year-old son James, but had been unsuccessful. “They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best alternative for expanding their family,” the friend told Entertainment Weekly.
