Is it true that Prince Charles is horrified that the hillbillies of the Canadian Rockies enjoy gopher-baiting?
Well, that is what he had to say for the press releases. I believe I read somewhere that both he and Camilla gamely participated in the Canadian version of “hunting”…where fine horses are replaced by motor-bikes, and the “fox” is often either a gopher or a Dubai rat. A member of the Prince’s staff said, quite off the record, that the Prince said that he and the Duchess were beginning to feel as though they were visiting The Twilight Zone.
