Is it true that people will have to drive to a local library and fill out a form to order library materials from ILN libraries outside of Santa Clarita?
No, this is not true. Participation in ILN will provide patrons of the Santa Clarita Public Library online access to a robust collection of library materials in addition to the holdings of your three library branches. Patrons will be able to easily search the ILN catalog and initiate the borrowing online of library materials located at any ILN member library. Upon arrival of requested materials in Santa Clarita, patrons will receive automatic notification via email of the availability of items for checkout. This process is similar to how patrons of the County of Los Angeles Public Library search for and select items held at County libraries located outside of Santa Clarita.
