Dietary supplements only give you false hope by making you lose a lot of weight immediately after you start taking the pills, but as soon as you stop if you do not start eating right and working out properly within a couple of months you will start gaining that weight again. In a year you could gain back all that you lost plus a few extra and that is hard on your body. To properly lose weight you need to follow the food pyramid and do a combination of cardio and weight training work outs 3-6 times a week for at least 30 mins each time depending on you level of activity at this time. Replace unhealthy snacks with fresh fruits and veggies. When choosing each meal eat only whole grains, lean protein, low fat dairy, and have at least one fruit or veggie during that meal. Drink water often and try to have at least 9-12 cups a day to help cut your urge to snack and keep yourself hydrated during your workouts.
