There are some cultures where women are raised to be more submissive to their husbands, but the funny thing about that is that there is also quite a bit expected from the husband in Asian cultures. Work hard, love and support your wife and family. It is amazing how strong and compatible a marriage can be when there is mutual respect and expectation placed upon each other.
