No. The STRS Ohio operating budget for fiscal year 2011 (July 1, 2010–June 30, 2011) totals $89.8 million. STRS Ohio’s unfunded liability as of July 1, 2010, is $38.8 billion. Completely eliminating all operating expenditures would not solve the long-term issue of funding pensions.
