YES, it’s true. You don’t need to be resident or have a domicile, to file for a Divorce in Dominican Republic by mutual consent, pursuant Divorce Law 142 of 1971, domicile requirement is waived. This law was specially created for foreign citizens and Dominicans residing outside the Dominican Republic.
