Springs 24-2902712 produced by OJSC GAZ have 1 to 4 rigidity marks, the ascending order being 4, 1, 2, 3. In front suspension assembly, springs are selected so as to provide a suspension with equally rigid springs regardless of the car version and the engine fitted. Stronger springs 23-2902712 were only used in Volga versions fitted with GAZ Steyr engines.
