Is it true that Fueled by Ramen discovered you guys through MySpace and PureVolume?
DM: Yeah. We were on our first tour and John Janick got a hold of our manager at the time and called our singer while we were in traffic in D.C. to set up a meeting just because we had a lot of buzz on MySpace and PureVolume. Did he want to see you live first? DM: Yeah. Were you worried at all? DM: Oh, yeah. And the show we played was so bad. It was one of the worst shows we’ve ever played, but for some reason, John Janick from Fueled by Ramen saw something and decided to pursue us. We were signed two months later. I’m sure you’ve had to deal with people who don’t like the band just because of the name. DM: With anything you do, there’s gonna be (expletive) talkers. We do not let it discourage us at all. We just kind of use it as fuel. So you’ll be coming here on the Take Action Tour. What can you tell me about it? DM: Ten percent of all proceeds go to dosomething.org, which is a Web site kids can go to just to learn how to get involved in their community. It’s not a certain charity. I
