Is it true that CSIC hasn’t provided enough time for motions?

0

No. The procedure for members’ motions requires that members submit any motions relating to bylaw amendments for review by the board at least 40 days before a meeting and in this case, motions must be submitted by February 13, 2009. In terms of any other members motions, members must submit them within 35 days of a members’ meeting. In keeping with this democratic process, the CSIC Board will have 10 days to consider any motions put forward by members to amend the bylaws. In other words, the board will have until February 23, 2009 to consider any members’ motions.
