Is it true that Christmas originated from pagan practice?
okay, what Christmas celebrates today is a holiday all to itself. but most of the traditions you see that goes with it are pagan traditions. the tree, giving gifts, the yule log, mistletoe…these are all pagan traditions. some people say that the reason the holiday is during december, which is said not to be the birthday of christ, was because when they chose the date theychose to keep it close to the holiday the peasants were already celebrating, the winter solstice, known as Yule.
