Is it true that all Swedish women are half naked during summer?
No, it is unfortunately just a myth originated from a Swedish movie (“Hon dansade en sommar”/”She danced one summer”) (1951) mainly due to the fact that the leading actress, a beautiful young blond virgin, showed her boobies in a scene and this was world premiere for such a view on the silver screen. In one scene where she and a male actor are hugging in the grass one can see the actress’ stiff nipples. For some reason the Swedish censorship let this scene pass and a major international break through was a fact. The nipple barrier was broken and the movie made huge international success, especially in the US where Hollywood efficiently had banned any nude skin from being shown.
