Is it true that 90% of the worlds opium is grown in muslim countrys?
My dear “Dirtylove”… Well…NOT quite “factual”..and furthermore, it has NOTHING to do with “muslim’s”, even though the main export business of Afghanistan is Opium…But : China is also one of the main suppliers for Opium (and they are definitely NO “muslim’s”)-smile- You have to look at the background of this issue, because presently the crops in China have been “exchanged” into growing “Poppy’s” instead of food because it brings in more $$$ to grow the poppies. Furthermore: Opium is the only means of solace and comfort for many who lived and worked a punishing and thankless existence. Opium suppressed their appetite for the limited food available, gave them peace of mind and also gave them a kind of stoic endurance that helped them get through the day.
