I heard Sony tried an experimental helmet on a Teenager in Tennessee. It was successful and was supposed to go in a dream-like state but when he was unconscious he was in a test game and had a seizure. During his seizure he was begging not to be killed. When they turned off rumor has it the game was too realistic and intense and he ended up getting severe brain damage. This test happened back in 2005. And back in 2005 Sony announced a patent on stimulating the Neural Cortex with low pulses of ultrasound creating a sensory experience.
