I cannot believe what I am reading. There are some superb British restaurants if you take the trouble to do some research, and you are not necessarily going to have to pay much more than you would for a foam tray full of shyte from McDonalds KFC or Burger King. Regarding ‘pub food’ there are some great ‘gastropubs’ out there serving some great food but if you decide to take the wife and kids to your local Toby Tavern for an ‘eat as much as you can stuff down your ugly cakehole for a fiver’, carving buffet then you will get what you pay for and frankly what you deserve. Take my advice, switch of the X-Box, get on the net and look for some reviews of local restaurants check to see when they’ve got some special deals on and give them a try, they need local support. Failing this I normally settle for a Pot Noodle or a Vesta curry and a bowl of Angel Delight.
