Is It Too Late To Plant Daffodil And Tulip Bulbs In Zone 6?

If they haven’t gone thru the dormant period then probably it’s too late. I’m in zone 6 and sleet covers the ground so it would be hard to plant where I am. They should always be refrigerated for several weeks prior to planting. It is probably too late to even force bloom them. Colorado State University Extension How to force bulbs indoors http://www.ext.colostate.edu/ptlk/1319.h… EDITED: I would plant as soon as possible because if they do not get planted they will dry out and die. They would probably bloom next year.
