Is it the evaluation’s purpose to lead to suitable gainful employment for the injured employee?
Yes. The purpose of the evaluation is to return the injured worker to suitable gainful employment. Therefore, the evaluator is responsible for the results of the evaluation. One hundred percent success is not expected. However, some success should result from the evaluation recommendations. The evaluator operates as part of the Bureau’s team dedicated to returning the injured worker to suitable gainful employment and should work with the Bureau on improving evaluations, thereby leading to more successful return to work outcomes.
