Is it still hurricane season?

Hurricane season ends November 30. Houston is normally a very hot and muggy city and it rains about once every four days – although it’s not unusual at all for it to rain for days at a time. A typical summer day in Houston is about 96 degrees with an occasional afternoon thunderstorm. Don’t bring a jacket – you’ll just be hot wearing it. Bring an umbrella instead. Right about now, expect temperatures in the low to mid 90s and expect the low to be no less than 73 degrees. Be thankful you’re not going in August – that’s when the heat peaks out (not unusual to reach over 100). As far as hurricanes go, there’s nothing to indicate that a hurricane is coming in the near future. If you’re staying for a couple of weeks, a hurricane is certainly possible, but not likely. If you’re staying for the whole summer, you could get a hurricane, but more than likely you’ll get a tropical depression or a tropical storm every now and then. Last summer, I don’t think Houston got any hurricanes. Flooding ca
