Is it sissy to find completely realistic images of torture disturbing?
Overprotective? That’s appalling. Full grown people who have first-hand exposure to scenes of torture can experience traumatic stress disorder. What monster of a parent would expose their children to this in order to avoid being “overprotective”? Children aren’t able to process such images the way an adult would, and even many adults are unable to deal with these images. There are a few movies I have seen that I wish I hadn’t, due to scenes of torture that left me feeling disturbed and distressed. There is no way anyone should feel justified in allowing their kids to watch these movies. It’s child abuse.
