If you are unsure as to what you are doing, it would be advised to do things within a group of knowledgable people. On the other hand, many witches practice by themselves perfectly well. It all depends on your confidence in your abilities. If you are raising a circle correctly, either in a group or by yourself, you have nothing to worry about.
