Is it safe to walk alone at night in Exeter, or in Penryn and Falmouth?
Whilst the city of Exeter, and the towns of Penryn and Falmouth are generally safe places, incidents involving personal safety do occur and it is important to take sensible precautions, particularly at night. Walk in groups wherever possible, and choose a route that doesn’t take you into isolated or unlit areas and carry a personal attack alarm (available from the Students’ Guild or the FXU reception). Hide expensive jewellery, mp3 players, mobile phones etc. that might be attractive to a thief.
