Is it safe to wait 10,000-15,000 miles between oil service intervals?

There is a strong argument here. If you don’t think you will own the car after 50,000 miles or after the warranty expiration, you may choose to follow these extended intervals. The later model cars are requiring Synthetic Motor Oil for these extended intervals. Use of non-synthetic oil may affect your warranty. Too often, we see cars that have gone past the recommended intervals of service. Setting service schedules at longer intervals will only increase the likelihood of late service. You may find your oil light illuminating or a more audible ticking noise from the engine when nearing the 10-15,000 mile service interval. The wear this will cause on your engine will impact the reliability of your car. At EuroWerks, we feel it is too important to your safety and the value of your automobile to wait such distances. It is our opinion and we continue to suggest service as early as 3,500 miles and no later than 6,000 miles or six months between services.
