Shoe polish should never be used on furniture as it will always come off on your clothing. It may also contain waxes or silicones that will inhibit any correct professional repair from working. The remedy for the colour loss will depend on the type of leather you have. Some aniline style leathers can fade very quickly (in under 6 months we have seen some fade to almost white) if they are in a sunny room. This is not neccessarily a fault as this type of leather always fades – this style of leather can be very easily restored. Please do not try DIY Leather Balms from the internet as these can also cause problems (and very rarely work anyway) If you want the problem assessing please send a photo to LTT and they will be able to help with a solution. If you have a pigmented (finished leather) the problem may be due to a finish fault and this would need to be taken up with the shop where you purchased the sofa from. Again a photograph to LTT will help to ascertain this. Please do not try any
