Botox injection is a safe procedure. It is derived from Clostridium specie to produce the Botilunum toxin type-A – Botox is the toxin itself. Before it was used as medicine to treat patients having spastic conditions such as Torticollis. At present, it is used in aesthetic field to treat wrinkles and fine lines of the face and in facial contouring. Be sure that only qualified doctors will perform the injection to avoid complications, usually ptosis of the eyelids. The cosmetic surgeon must have ruled out systemic illness such as Myasthenia gravis prior to Botox shots.
