is it safe to travel in Bali indonesia this February 2006?
I would have no hesitation… don’t let the bombings scare you off… unlike most of the Indonesian and other island nation countries in the region where muslim is the dominant religion, Bali is a rare hinduism dominated island. Unfortunately, they’ve been the target of radical violence… targeted no doubt for the publicity. The island and the people are very peaceful. If you are overly concerned, look into Langkawi, Malaysia. It’s a little know paradise in the Adaman sea. South of the Phuket/Krabi region of Thailand, it’s a gorgeous and affordable island.
