Is it safe to take 2 kids on holiday to egypt?
Firstly i have been to egypt many many times, i am english and i have taken my children there, though they are older. We have mostly had wonderful holidays, but as you are clearly worried i will try to give you as honest a picture as i can with warts an’ all. I think the main reasons you have been told that egypt is not suitable for young children are as follows; it gets extremely hot in egypt over 40 degrees in the summer and even in winter it can be in the 30’s and that makes it very difficult for young children and difficult to protect them from sun burn. if you staying in one of the historical areas such as cairo or luxor then there is little to interest young children, if you are going to the red sea the same pretty much applies as most places on the red sea revolve around young people/ divers etc. there are some nasty tummy bugs around in egypt as in all hot countries.
