When I got pregnant, I joined the WIC (women, infants, and children) program. One of the foods that they actually gave me was peanut butter. I breastfed for 3 months and continued to receive the peanut butter on my WIC checks until I stopped breastfeeding. Even though I stopped breastfeeding, I will be receiving WIC checks until my baby is 6 months, I just don’t get peanut butter on them anymore. So it must be safe to eat while breastfeeding.
