Is it safe to eat chicken thats been left on the bone overnight?
Although contrib. jc has a point, HACCP rules were put in place to require food establishment that were serving a massive amount of food to a massive amount of people to not take shortcuts. This has to do with how quickly the food must be brought down to temp so that it’s not in the danger zone, etc and many more rules and regul.. In your own home use common sense. If the bird has been cooked to the proper temp in the first place, served and then the remainder refrigerated in a short amount of time, then when you go to eat it, heat it to a temp above 140 degrees, you will be fine. When in doubt, before putting the bird away pull it off the bone. Good Luck!
