Is it safe to burn 1000 calories or more a day through exercise?

You can burn more than 1000 calories a day through exercise. I’m a 32 year old figure skater and do this each time I skate (I do jumps & spins) for at least an hour and a half. You will need to burn at least 3,500 calories to lose one lb. of fat. Most important is your reason for wanting to burn through this many calories in a day. Are you an athlete, are you currently exercising at all, or are you doing this just to fit into a certain outfit or for a date? You can safely burn about 800 calories while swimming, about the same (& even more) if you’re a competitive figure skater who jumps and spins, running is also a good way to burn more than 500 calories in an hour, jumping rope is excellent to burn 600+ calories hourly however, I’d recommend doing this on a mini trampoline to save/cushion your knees, ankles, and back from the pounding. You also need to mix cardio with some weightbearing or weightlifting exercises to get definition, I’ve seen people lose lots of weight without focusing
