Is it safe to be on the beach near kitesurfers?
The sport of kitsurfing is a very visual sport, much enjoyed by the general public, and tour operators are even making it a port of call to take overseas visitors to see kitesurfing displays across the waters of Dubai. However, people need to have the necessary common sense not to enter within the kitesurfing zone. The beach-goers and spectators need to appreciate that kitesurfing is an extreme sport and should wherever possible stay at a safe distance from the kitesurfers (who in turn have committed to staying within their demarcated areas). A safe distance is generally 30-50 metres.
