Is it rude that i haven been returning her phone calls?
Yes you are being a bit rude if you use to talk more often on the phone. If you were not always gabbing with one another, it seems to me that she can’t really take a hint. After my second phone call to you (with no response), I would just give it up. I find that I am constantly having to keep things going with a very good friend of mine, but she is also very busy. I can respect that, so I continue to make the effort and every time I call (every month or so) we have a great catching up talk and then we go on with our lives. I think if she should call you again and you don’t want to do something with her, at least pick up the phone and tell her that you are busy. Have a couple of different excuses ready because I’m sure she’ll be inviting you to something else right after you decline!
