Re-entry into the US is never guaranteed. If you do travel, you must obtain a travel signature from IESC, and take all necessary documents with you: Passport, valid F-1 visa, I-20, and employer letter. If your F-1 visa has expired, you will have to re-apply for one prior to re-entering the US.

Remember that travel signature for students on OPT are valid for 6 months only. If your F-1 visa has expired, you will have to re-apply for one prior to re-entering the U.S.
