Is it right to use word security instead bodyguards?

‘Bodyguard’ is more colloquial. I think bodyguards and their employment agencies tend to call them “personal security”. “Security” could cover bodyguards or security guards (who are assigned to buildings, not people) or maybe to alarm systems or something else.
