Christ was God in the Flesh. There is only one God. Like it or not he is a jealous God – it doesn’t matter because he is God- he gets the final word. People try to apply their understanding of the universe to God and think they are more intelligent than anyone else, in effect approaching in their own minds the intelligence of God. Because they can’t see him they can’t comprehend him or define him in a logical way. I presume they have the same problem with emotions. They feel love but they can’t define it precisely. If they were as intelligent as God and understand everything they would be God, but that’s a problem. There is already a God. It is difficult to understand why he chose to come to earth as human flesh to suffer the horrific pain to cover the sins of all people of the world. So if I wear a crucifix it is not idol worship. It is acknowledgment that I believe and love the one and only God who manifested himself in humanly form to demonstrate his love for us. There is no greater
