Is it possible to watch the space shuttle mission on line?
The link to it is below. It is not always live, but does contain video and audio from the shuttle mission. Not everything they do is video worthy, and so when they are asleep or otherwise occupied, they replay video with commentary in the background. There are other links at the link below, not just the countdown. I hope this helps. Sources: http://science.ksc.nasa.
The launches, and many other exciting activities are carried live on Nasa TV (also available online), but they don’t offer 24 hr live coverage. Several years ago Nasa began limiting their live coverage, including limiting the ability of the general public to hear live radio traffic between astronauts and mission control. The conspiracy theorists got a lot of milage out of that thinking it was because they might overhear the contact Nasa has with the aliens. I have watched several recent launches live on Nasa’s website, you just find the link titled NasaTV. It is usually well marked, and they have a variety of shows about the space program even when there isn’t a mission underway. This is free as well, no need to pay at all.
