Is it possible to use the Honda Civic Type R 2004 headlights on a 2001 Honda Civic hatchback?

I have a 2001 Civic Sport SE Vetec and would like to change the headlights to the Type R 2004 headlights if possible. Also, If anybody knows the model number to the official Honda Type R headlights, that would be most helpful. A: if you have the 2001 7th gen shape (EP) then yes, they should fit, the 6th gen shape continued to halfway through 2001 (EM1), so if its the 6th gen shape, then no it won’t. (by the way its VTEC) I Don’t know the model number im affraid, but the type-r lights shouldn’t be any different to the SE ones, apart from the JDM type-r headlights, which have smoked effect internal plastic, just search on ebay, my advice is ask at a Honda dealer, and just make sure they will definately fit — honda may have changed mountings or fitments between 2001-2004, or even a slight re-design — im not 100% sure..
