Is it possible to use EUROSTRAND® OSB and FORMline® DHF boards as weathered façade?
EUROSTRAND® OSB and FORMline® DHF as weathered facade are actually not suitable for permanent outdoor exposure (wood-based material class100). The boards are not protected against blue stains and fungal attack. The only possible use is for ancillary purposes – with appropriate coating protection against blue stains and fungal attack (e.g. outside possibly as covering of the roof underside view, carport covering). It is not allowed at any rate that the board may have a load-bearing function when used outdoors. OSB/3 boards with COELAN PU-High-Solids coating are an exception to this (see Egger/Coelan product information).
