Is it possible to use DFS Replication with Offline Files?
You can safely use DFS Replication and Offline Files together in scenarios when there is only one user at a time who writes to the files. This is useful for users who travel between two branch offices and want to be able to access their files at either branch or while offline. Offline Files caches the files locally for offline use and DFS Replication replicates the data between each branch office. Do not use DFS Replication with Offline Files in a multi-user environment because DFS Replication does not provide any distributed locking mechanism or file checkout capability. If two users modify the same file at the same time on different servers, DFS Replication moves the older file to the DfsrPrivate\ConflictandDeleted folder (located under the local path of the replicated folder) during the next replication.
