Is it possible to transfer ringtones via bluetooth with verizon phones?
This software feature is disabled by LG and Motorola at the request of Verizon Wireless, as it canabalizes their own sales for ringtone purchases through Get It Now. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to successfully send MP3 files from your PC or another phone to be used as ringtones. You can record yout own ringtone with the following: You can go into My Sounds on your phone, select Record New, and record part of a song playing in the background on your PC for example. Then send this sound to your own number attached to a text message from your phone. Once received, click the options key (usually the right softkey) and choose, save as ringtone. It will sound a little shatty though. Or, if you have the USB Cable for your phone you can use a program called BitPim. You can also use this program if your computer has Bluetooth to connect your phone to your PC. And you cannot get one of your mp3 songs (on your phone) to be set and played as a ringtone.
