SalesDesktop supports two ways of tracking mails: manual and automatic. Manual means you select the item to link to your mail by hands, while automatic means SalesDesktop will connect your mail with a contact automatically. Mail will be saved automatically, if the Save correspondence to the Salesforce box is checked for the item.
