Running a VPN client is possible with satellite Internet, but it is possible that it will slow data speeds from approximately 50 to 75 percent. When using a VPN client it is recommended choosing the HughesNet Elite package, another recommendation is to turn off the VPN when not in use and the Internet speed will be regained. For troubleshooting problems the VPN manufacture technical support must be contacted, HughesNet technical support does not provide support for VPN clients.
