Is it possible to purchase/download more songs for Guitar Heroes 3 for Nintendo Wii ?
Activision (publisher of the Guitar Hero series) has been working closely with Nintendo to get downloadable content (dlc) ready for the Wii version of Guitar Hero 3 this year. Though no dates have been set, it is at least reassuring that the problem with a lack of efficiency in this matter doesn’t land on the part of Activision, but actually Nintendo. Obviously, Nintendo has yet to solve the lack of a true online presence for their next-gen system, and many publishers and developers are feeling the pangs of it (see: Retro Studios). However, as Nintendo has also been working closely on initiating its WiiWare service this year, and is working to improve online playability in its games, we can rest assured that Activision will be ready to release songs the second they can. It would be good to not only pay attention to press releases from Vicarious Visions, Activision, and Red Octane, but especially keep an ear to the ground on Nintendo itself.
