Is it possible to play the Standard MIDI Files created by the MIDI Solutions Programming Tools with Windows Media Player?
Yes, however the MIDI Playback Device needs to be set to the MIDI interface you are using. To do this go to the Control Panel, double-click on “Sounds and Audio Devices”, select the “Audio” tab, and then select your MIDI interface as the MIDI music playback device. This works with Windows XP, however this option appears to have been removed in Windows Vista. In this case we recommend using Sweet MIDI Player (the free trial version works fine for this purpose).
