Is it possible to place additional yield signs on the exit ramp from I-69 to Illinois Road?
I travel eastbound on Illinois Road frequently, and numerous times, people do not yield as they are exiting the interstate to travel east on Illinois. – Karen Kohrman, Fort Wayne A. Karen, I m sorry people are ignoring signs and common sense telling them to yield to traffic already in a travel lane. Fortunately, it is possible for the state to help. Mayo, INDOT spokeswoman, said the state determined that an additional yield sign should be added on the left side of the loop ramps for traffic heading east and west on Illinois Road. In addition, the state will replace the small Yield Ahead sign with a larger sign installed on both of the loop ramps. This will eliminate the excuse that drivers don t know to yield. I hope it also solves the problem of people failing to yield, but stay cautious just in case.
