Is it possible to paint arborite counter tops??
Answer Hi Deb, Thanks for stopping in. Painting counter tops Counter tops can be painted, but it is not something I would recommend. Paint is not a “food grade” material in any form. You may be able to put a couple coats of “food grade” polyurethane on top of the paint, but I doubt it is a look you are going to like. Another option is two products called Spread Rock and Spread Stone. These come in a paint can, can be troweled on, finished in a variety of ways and looks, and are made for counter tops. And it too, is much cheaper than new counter tops.
