Is it possible to obtain a copy of the AIDA source code?
No. Unfortunately not. There can be many complex issues involved in making available and supporting the distribution of source code. The work required for this can be considerable, particularly providing support answering queries about the code. Furthermore one of the main compilers used to generate part of the AIDA v4 execuatable code is no longer sold, meaning that several hundred lines of AIDA v4 source code cannot be recompiled. In addition while we have been approached at various times by people who have some ideas of fun things that they think they could do with AIDA, if they had the source code, over time we have come to realise that most of these ideas are less exciting and of less overall benefit to people with diabetes than some of what we ourselves (the AIDA authors) wish to do with AIDA.
