Is it possible to mount a flat screen TV above a working fireplace?
Mostly Yes. If your fireplace has a mantle piece it will deflect the heat away from the screen. If you have a gas effect fire, most of the heat goes up the chimney, so this is not a problem. Sometimes, if you have a very hot, real fire (unusual in London) it may warm the chimney to the extent that it is not advisable to mount a television there.
