Is it possible to meet the President on the tour of The White House?
Not only can you not see the President…but you can’t even tour the White House. I had only taken the tour once, long long ago. The lines to take the tour were always super long, and the tour was relatively short. But, when a friend came to DC to visit, I wanted to take her there, just so she could say she visited the White House. I was suprised to findout that they no longer offer tours. Ok, well you CAN take a tour, but you have to get your Congressman to get you in. And who wants to go through that hassel? Washington DC has changed over the years, and not for the better. There used to be people sitting on the Capitol steps, chatting and taking in the wonderful view of the mall. If you visit the US Capitol today, you will see a man, clad in black combat fatigues, holding a machinegun. Welcome to Amerika. This past Presidential election, I voted for “change”.
